    We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Event Coordinator to join our Venues team at TSB Stadium on a permanent, full-time basis.

    As Event Coordinator, you'll play a key role in the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of events that enhance the reputation of New Plymouth District Council and showcase TSB Stadium as one of Taranaki's premier event destinations.

    No two days are the same. One week you could be coordinating the logistics for a national basketball tournament, the next supporting a vibrant Diwali celebration, a regional netball competition, a major Tattoo Expo, a concert, exhibition or community event. From the initial enquiry through to event delivery, you'll work closely with event organisers, stakeholders, contractors and internal teams to ensure every event is executed professionally and leaves a lasting positive impression.

    Key responsibilities - Ngā haepapa matua

    • Event planning: Successfully deliver client event requirements by providing clear direction, setting expectations, and gathering all necessary information to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients, attendees, and the venue
    • Stakeholder management (catering, cleaning, security etc)
    • Collaborate with internal team members as required to understand different venue requirements and specific challenges
    • Work directly with the venues Volunteer Officer, Eco Engagement Officer and technical specialists to ensure that all event requirements are captured and confirmed
    • Roster all operational staff as required (Ops, FOH/Duty Manager, etc)
    • Creation of 'Event Packs' for venues operations team to deliver the event - this includes and is not limited to detailed run-sheets, event plans, quotes, staffing requirements, etc
    • To create and process all invoices and purchase orders as required
    • Any other duties as determined or required by the business
    Essential Skills and Experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
    • Tertiary qualification and/or experience in event coordination, event delivery, event planning
    • Experience in customer service and communication skills would be an advantage
    • Ability to instruct a team of casual operational staff
    • Experience in venue operations would be an advantage
    • Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Experience in health and safety in venues would be an advantage
    • Full driver's licence

    Production Manager

    Auckland Theatre Company is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team and help bring exceptional theatre to life. You'll work at the heart of our productions: collaborating with creative teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring every show is delivered safely, on time and to an exemplary standard.

    Working within a production team of three, reporting to the Director of Production and collaborating closely with designers, venue staff, and suppliers.

    Based between ATC's Dominion Road rehearsal studios, the ASB Waterfront Theatre and other venues from time to time, you will oversee all production elements (set, lighting, costume, sound, projection) from pre-production planning through to post-production.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Managing all aspects of production, from planning to delivery – juggling a complex workload across multiple concurrent shows.
    • Developing and managing production budgets, with accurate financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting.
    • Creating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
    • Implementing health and safety protocols across all production activities.
    • Fostering clear communication between creative teams, crews, and suppliers.

    What we’re looking for:

    • At least six years' experience in theatre/live entertainment or events, in a technical/production leadership role.
    • Proven experience as a Production Manager in a performing arts or theatre setting.
    • Strong budgeting, financial management, and project planning capabilities.
    • Sound technical knowledge of theatre production across all design disciplines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – a natural collaborator who thrives under pressure.

    A position is available in the Hire Department of our Stage / Film /TV lighting business.

    The role primarily consists of PATS testing and maintaining our hire equipment - prepping and de-prepping orders in-house at our Avondale location. We primarily service Film / TV / Stage/ Events customers. There is the occasional requirement to work offsite on installations or industry events.

    The successful applicant will:

    ● Have experience or interest in lighting for the theatre/and or film industry and be interested in developing their technical skills

    ● Have the ability to communicate well with others and be an effective team member

    ● Attention to detail and ability to follow system/processes

    ● Be confident interacting with customers both face to face and over the phone

    ● Be computer literate

    ● Be able to work unsupervised

    ● Have a full NZ drivers’ licence and be able to drive manual

    ● Be physically fit and enjoy working with their hands

    Lighting, grip, rigging, knowledge would be helpful, along with an understanding of DMX principles. Warehouse experience would also be advantageous.

    • Current EWP and First Aid certificates preferred; working at heights experience desirable.
