Venue Technician – Napier Conference Centre

Permanent position working 40 hours per week over 7 days

Napier Conference Centre is the only dedicated conference and events venue in Hawke’s Bay.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Venue Technician to join the team at The Conference Centre to seamlessly coordinate room and AV settings and ensure success of our clients’ event.

You will play a key role in ensuring the technical needs of our clients are exceeded each and every time, and as such, you’ll need to demonstrate on the spot problem solving skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. Expertise in audio and lighting in conference settings would be an advantage.

Key requirements:

• Experience in the conference and events industry is essential.
• Ability to undertake manual/physical work
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and additional hours in line with our conferences and events
• A current full clean NZ driver’s licence

Primarily based at the Napier Conference Centre you may also be required to work at other Napier City Council facilities including our Theatres.
