Technical Administrator – Auckland Arts Festival

Auckland Arts Festival is seeking a highly organised person to provide administrative support to the Technical Team for their next festival in March 2020.

Auckland Arts Festival/ Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Makaurau is a globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place each March in New Zealand’s largest city.

Presented annually, the 18-day event celebrates people and culture, and show-cases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of Auckland.

As Technical Administrator you will work closely with the Technical Manager to provide high level administrative support for the Technical Department. This includes managing the technical departments finance and human resource processes, preparing production documentation, assisting with resource provision for festival events, and liaising with venues and suppliers. The role is also responsible for managing the on-site technical office during the festival.

The Technical Administrator role is a fixed-term position, ideally commencing part time late September 2019, then becoming full time in the new year until April 2020. This role is a key member of the Technical Department and would be best suited to someone with arts administration, stage management or some production management experience who is looking for an opportunity to work in a festival environment across a diverse range of projects.
