Everything okay with us. No structural damage to factory, business as usual and everyone's homes are intact. Kaiapoi itself a mess. Many homes and shops have to be demolished. Approx 30 homes at present and a lot more to come. Diane Philip

We had a bit od damage on the inital shock at work, a shelf unit full of spare lamps fell over etc... nothing that can't be sourced in NZ so not oo bad and no structural damage... but after yesterdasy shake we now have a bad crack in one of the pillars holding a tilt slab up which is concerning...

I think we have all been luck, one of my workers here now has a house that is uninhabitable.. so he is the worst affected with a 3 year old. He is staying with relatives, we are really so lucky no one in CHCH was killed. It is very stressful on everyone as the aftershocks mean no one sleeps very well. Mike Kelly
