New regulations will require that 100% of audience areas be covered by these systems and that they will be required to be tested for compliance with the standard every 6 months.

Interesting.
When does this become law and what is the standard? Is there a dB level that must be attained? Does the coverage need to reach that level in every seat or is there an average?

Paul - This is detailed in Appendix H of NZS 4121:2001. There is a specified signal strength In AS1088.4 and IEC60118-4. The requirement is to cover 100% of the audience area.
