COSTUMING, SETS AND PROPS - Conference SessionOutsourcing the work and management of the available resources.

A general discussion was undertaken the clear outcome was that there is a good turn around of the outsourcing trend witnessed in recent times. The Opera Company is now building in house along with the RNZB. Also it seems that the in house concept does depend on the company having their own theatre. Though in house sourcing is a preferred option there is still a place for outsourcing. Some companies may be able to out source from an existing NZ companies.
We also felt that this in house process would enable us to keep good experienced and qualified craftsmen regularly employed in NZ.
